Amid scorching heat, weatherman predicts light rains on Wed, Thurs | KNO

Srinagar, Jul 19 (KNO): Amid hot weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir, the weatherman on Tuesday predicted light rains from tomorrow in Kashmir. “There is a possibility of light rainfall on July 20, 21,” Deputy Director Meteorological department (MeT) told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). The weather would remain mostly cloudy for the next few days while light rain from tomorrow is also expected, he said. He added there is no forecast of heavy rainfall, but from tomorrow the temperature is expected to plummet as the light rains would occur in Kashmir parts on Wednesday and Thursday. Pertinently, Srinagar reeled under heat wave as the maximum temperature settled above 30 degree Celsius. The mercury in Srinagar settled at 33.7 degree Celsius. Notably, Srinagar recorded the hottest day of the season on June 30 when the mercury settled at 34.2 degree Celsius—(KNO)
